日本語としてはそれほど矛盾を感じないかもしれないが、「人により視認できる部分」が「人により視認できないようになる」という相反することを、そのまま訳すと支離滅裂になってしまう。こういう場合は、「さもなければ～であろう」（例えば、“… would otherwise be …”）という訳仕方を覚えておくと役立ちます。
