請求項１乃至請求項４に択一的に従属する請求項５に「前記第１レバー」と記載されているが、「第１レバー」が記載されている先行請求項は請求項３のみであり、したがって、請求項５が請求項３以外の請求項に従属するとき「前記第１レバー」は不明確である。請求項５は請求項３に単独従属すべきではないのか。尚、多数項従属請求項に従属する多数項従属請求項は従属関係を複雑にするので、請求項を補正する際には、従属関係が簡潔になるように書き改められたい。

解説
解説「従属関係」を訳す場合、relationshipは不要。dependencyのみの方がすっきりする。「多数項従属請求項に従属する多数項従属請求項」（いわゆるマルチのマルチ）は米国とは異なり日本では形式的には可能だが、不明確を理由にこのようなO.A.が出されることが多い。
”another” を加えるだけで一層明確になる。the description “said first lever” is unclear → there is no antecedent of “said first lever”のようにantecedentを使うのも分かりやすい。
