請求項１には「長手方向の延びが・・・幅方向の延びの２倍に相当する」と記載されている。ここに、２倍に「相当する」と記載していることから、厳密に２倍であることを特定しているものではなく、「おおよそ２倍」のような意味であり、すなわち、ある程度の範囲幅に収まることを含んだり、ある程度のばらつきが発生することを許容したりしているものと推察される。
しかしながら、この場合であっても、例えば「１．９倍から２．１倍の範囲内にある」のか「１．５倍から２．５倍の範囲内にある」のかといったように、どの程度の範囲幅までが「２倍に相当する」といえるのかが曖昧であり、不明確である。
翻訳例

In consideration of the phrase “‘corresponds’ to twice”, it is assumed that claim 1 specifies not “exactly twice”, but “approximately twice”. However, even in this case, the extent represented by the phrase “corresponds to twice”, which may encompass ranges such as “in the range of 1.9 times to 2.1 times” or “in the range of 1.5 times to 2.5 times”, is vague and unclear.
